Well, the wedding bells have rung and we are officially married! Now, we’re counting down to our winter honeymoon. There will be lots of sight-seeing, food and wine tasting and hopefully a great escape from the freezing temps of the Northern hemisphere as we venture south. Here’s what I’ll be reading on all those flights, in the airports and maybe a time or two as we lay poolside (if it’s warm enough!).
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
Surely you remember the beautiful debut novel by Erin Morgenstern, The Night Circus. Since devouring her first book, I have been desperate for a new story from her beautiful imagination. Finally, after several years of waiting, my dreams have come true! This new book comes out in November 2019 and I will be holding off opening the book to the first page until I am nestled in my seat on the plane and jetting out of KC.
City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert
I know virtually nothing about this book. It happens to be high on Amazon’s “Most Read” list and I thought the concept sounded interesting. I’ll let you know what I think!
The Hunter by Richard Stark
Okay, I know the first book in this series came out more than a decade ago, but this is the first I’ve heard of it and it sounds fun! Can’t wait to see what it’s all about.
The Girl who Reads on the Metro: A Novel by Christine Feret-Fleury
I love a good book that tells a story about a bookstore. There have been so many great ones in the past several years. The construct is similar across stories and authors, but I love them just the same. This will be a great vacation read.
Just finished Girl…Metro and gave it a five star. Enjoy! And congratulations!
Glad to know someone enjoyed it! I’m looking forward to reading it. And thank you so much!! 😊
