Poetry Writing Challenge – Week 4

Well, my little poetry writing challenge month has come to an end. It was a really fast month! I had some wins and I had some days where I did nothing but stare at a blank sheet of paper. But, that’s okay!

So, what’s next? Well I’m still not feeling the idea of a big project, so I think I’ll continue to try and stick with some poetry writing. Really, the idea of this challenge was more to find some rich imagery and get back to that sensual writing that I love. I think I tapped into some of that, but it’s going to be a tough road back to the level of productivity I had reached previously. Writing is work, even for people who write every day (for work) like I do! And though I’ve been a writer for a long time, there’s still always things to learn and ways to grow.

Here are a few of my wins from this month’s poetry challenge.
